He served churches in Georgia and Ohio before moving to Florida in 2001. Al is married to Amy, and they have three grown children and one grandchild.
Hey, Al Walsh! I Googled you and found your blog. How are you doing? How is Amy? I read in there that your grandson is about to be two! Wow! Time flies. I have a blog, too. It’s mostly about knitting, my new obsession, but there’s stuff in there about church and my two-year-old Sunday School Class, too. Mostly I just try to be funny. It’s good to find you. Tell Amy I said “Hello!”

It was so unexpected to find your blog because strangely, you’ve been on my mind lately. It must have been the Holy Spirit. Despite the years and distance between our families; you and Amy are still a part of ours and we will be praying for you in the upcoming months. I thought of Amy recently when our middle child was baptized, remembering the words she spoke when I became Baptist (making sure I understood salvation). I thought of you a few days later when I was trying to word a request for help in VBS, remembering the first time you asked me to help! It’s been a long, long time…
We miss you and will be praying for you…

Hi Al and Amy
I just want you to know I miss going in your office and saying good morning to you. Your light was on but it was only the cleaners. You both are in our prayers. I go to your web site every day, I also copy it once a week to send to Lou and Nita. We will be praying the 17th. We love you both. Love Judy and Al
Dear Al and Amy
We are praying and trusting the Lord for the outcome of this journey.
love you,

Dear Amy and Al,
Needless to say, I am definitelly praying for the both of you! Having been on a path similar to yours with Bob for over fifteen years, I well understand how your faith sustains you in these times! Yet, even with faith, the road is sometimes bumpy and the journey is sometimes tiring for the both of you! I pray God’s peace will continue to release the physical energy that you each need as you move through these days to better ones! Regardless of the eventual outcome, you will learn that these really are the best and worst days of your lives! There is a wealth of understanding and joy that comes as you share yourselves with others who are walking a similar pathway! I pray God will help you to have many opportunities to witness for Him and share your joy with others!
May God bless you real good!!!

Hi Al,
Your faith in the Lord’s plan for your life has been an inspiration to us. Sometimes life can be like a mystery novel with twists and turns and only the writer knows the conclusion. We are so grateful to the author who has penned your lives because He loves you and Amy so much. You and Amy remain on our hearts and we pray for you each day. The Lord has spoken and assured us that you belong to Him and He is in the midst of this chapter of your life.

Hello Al.
This post comes from your distant past – like high school. I know we have not had any contact for decades but my sister (Lida) still lives in LC and somehow found out about your blog and pointed me to it. I apprecaite your openness and have read every word. I know it will be a comfort to others who may walk the same pathway. Someday maybe the Lord will allow an opportunity for us to catch up on old times. even if not, please know that Vicky Chapman McMillan – my spouse for 25 years and our three great children are praying for you.
Al & Amy,
It’s 7:46 a.m. on June 17th. I don’t know where you are in surgery, but believe me when I say I am praying for you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers throughout the day.
Love,
Mike
Al & Amy,
I’m praying for you & your medical team this morning. Over and over, the Holy Spirit keeps whispering to me that “He is sovereign!”
“Faith tells us of things we have never seen, and cannot come to know by our natural senses.” –St. John of the Cross

Please than Allison and others for keeping us posted. We thank God for you both, and thank Him for what He is and is going to continue to do in your life. Love, thought and prayers, Nick and Mary

Al and Amy,
Keep up that sense of humor! You are such an encourager, even in your situation. You both are such a blessing. Glad you got to be out and see the fireworks, although, I bet you would have had your own fireworks at home if nothing else. It was good to see you on Sunday Amy. Will continue to be in prayer with you both, and will look for that report after the Dr. apt. Keep laughing and keep that sense of humor, and if we need a house call for rodent infestation, we will be a calling. Love and Prayers, Mary & Nick
We rejoice with you about the wonderful news of your recovery!
We Praise HIM with all our being!
love
Ivonne
